The new Ignition Business Club founded by championship-winning race driver Daniel Lloyd has successfully hosted its maiden event after founder members came together for a special lunch event held at The Three Acres.

Huddersfield-based Daniel has founded the exclusive members club in order to allow businesses owners from a wide range of different sectors to come together in order enjoy a range of different experiences, whilst also opening the door to potential B2B opportunities.

Lunch at The Three Acres was the first of a series of events that are scheduled for the year ahead – which include a clay pigeon shoot at Grantley Hall and an exclusive track day at Trac Môn on Anglesey – and proved to be the perfect way for members to see exactly what the Ignition Business Club is all about.

As well as being able to enjoy a first class dining experience from a menu showcasing the best in local ingredients, those who have already signed up were able to gain further insight into their fellow members in the relaxed surroundings of the restaurant in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside.

Members also discovered more about the ways in which Daniel will work on their behalf in the background to help grow their business and forge new relationships both inside and outside the Club, utilising the expertise he has gained through his racing career.

Further information was provided on additional events that are set to take place outside the main Ignition Business Club programme, including golf days and trips to rounds of the British Touring Car Championship, with those in attendance able to start developing new relationships away from the pressures of the boardroom.

Amongst those in attendance was the most recent person to sign up as an Ignition Business Club member, Chris Pearson, who offers luxury accommodation in the Yorkshire Dales at Oakdene Country House near Sedbergh and The Folly near Thresfield.

“The first event for the Ignition Business Club was everything I hoped it would be – and more besides,” Daniel said. “The whole idea behind this members club is to help people forge new relationships, and it was fantastic to see people getting involved and talking to each other to discover more about ways in which they could potentially work together going forwards.

“During my time racing, I have seen first hand how when people enjoy themselves at an event and start to build connections, business will naturally follow. With that in mind, this is a fantastic start, and I’m already looking forward to everyone coming back together in May for the next event on the calendar.”
